Fred Blumer has been in the connected vehicle industry for over 20 years. He co-founded Hughes Telematics (now Verizon Connect) where his teams built and operated telematics solutions for OEMs like Mercedes Benz, and usage-based insurance solutions for leading insurers like State Farm. Subsequently, Fred co-founded Mile Auto, a pay-per-mile insurance solution provider, and created Porsched Auto Insurance in partnership with Porsche Financial Services. Based in Atlanta, Fred holds more than 10 patents in telematics, connected vehicle data and usage-based insurance, and he is a frequest speaker on topics including vehicle connectivity, insurance, autonomous vehicles, and data privacy.
