Sandip Sen is working in the Transit industry for more than 18 years and currently serves as the Director of Service Planning & Scheduling at VIA Metropolitan Transit, San Antonio, Texas. His work focuses on transit planning and data analysis, transportation research, developing innovative transit solutions, route planning, Mobility on Demand analysis, and managing the System Redesign - Better Bus Plan, which is part of Keep San Antonio Moving plan. During the last 18-years, he has worked on several long-range and short-range service plans, corridor studies, several infrastructure and capital projects, Rapid Bus project and completed two successful system redesigns. Mr. Sen listens to the customer request and works collaboratively with different stakeholders and communities to solve complex transit challenges. Mr. Sen is visionary and leads by example and teaches GIS & Land Suitability class as a guest lecturer at UT Arlington for the last sixteen years. He is a certified GIS professional (GISP) and got selected in 2024 as a Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP) oversight panel member for the Transit service delivery project.
