Avninder Buttar is an experienced business strategist and currently serves as the Head of Electrification at Element Fleet Management Corporation, the largest publicly traded pure-play automotive fleet manager in the world. Avninder brings his passion for sustainability to his role and is responsible for all aspects of electrification strategy including product development, client delivery, and strategic partner engagement.  In addition to his work at Element, Avninder serves on the Board of Directors at CALSTART. Before taking on his current role, Avninder was Element’s Vice President, Strategy, responsible for electric vehicle (EV) strategy and telematics, leading the successful launch of Arc by Element - a full-service fleet electrification offering. Prior to Element, Avninder served in a variety of global corporate strategy and management consulting roles and has worked across multiple industries including public transit, safety certification, retail and hospitality, amongst others.  Avninder holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering from Toronto Metropolitan University and an MBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University. Avninder is also fully bilingual, speaking English and Punjabi, and currently resides in the Toronto region with his wife, Puneet, together, they are proud parents to one daughter.
