Bethany Langford is the CEO of The Community Transport Company, one of the largest not-for-profit passenger transport providers in Australia. She leads a team of amazing individuals - staff and volunteers - who are the real brains and engine behind the operation (Beth is just good at listening to their advice) which supports thousands of people and their communities by providing safe, reliable, affordable and accessible transport. Bethany and her team have integrated Australia's first not-for-profit taxi network into their accessible transport point-to-point and bus services, creating a true MaaS system in regional NSW. She and her team are almost fanatical about improving transport services, and making sure that social justice prevails, where everyone, regardless of personal circumstances, has access to decent transport. This fanaticism extends to sharing their experience and knowledge with others in the industry, learning from others in the industry, and making a lot of noise when it comes to advocating for better, sensible, efficient policy - especially where passenger transport intersects with aged care, disability services, and other arenas that can result in transport disadvantage. Sometimes they can be so fanatical that others find it all a bit boring. But don't worry, if you're at the Mobility Live 2025 then you're probably fanatical about transport too. Come and say hi, and we can bore each other with all the transport stuff!
