Marc Guigon is Consultant for international cooperation in the field of railways since April 2024. He is the former Passenger Director and Coordinator for Middle East and Latin America at UIC (International Union of Railways), dealing for any type of Railway subject. He worked 12 years at UIC and was responsible for Passengers global activities, including development of High-Speed Rail, Railway Stations, Ticket Distribution, Regional and Commuter Train Services and Tourism in Trains. He is also deeply involved in Asia Pacific railway development, including ASEAN countries. Prior to joining UIC, Marc worked 7 years for the office of the French Prime Minister, responsible for French national policies of transport in the field of spatial planning including railways, roads, urban transport, airports, ports and waterways. Lastly, Marc has a solid background in Railway Activities having managed during 25 years Rolling Stock Workshops, Research Teams, and Freight Divisions at the National French Railways (SNCF).
