Indonesia Transportation Society known as Masyarakat Transportasi Indonesia (MTI) established in Jakarta on December 12, 1995, it is a professional organization that brings together experts, academics, practitioners, and bureaucrats who are driven by their sense of social responsibility as members of society, willing and determined to support and fully commit themselves to sustainable national transportation development. MTI membership is spread across 21 regions in Indonesia and has 9 Transportation Discussion Forums. MTI is prominent partners for the Government and stakeholders in policy making process, to implement Sustainable. Transportation policies based on research, policy dialogues, and public awareness campaigns. With 21 chapters and 400 members nationwide, MTI engages transportation professionals to address Indonesia's transportation challenges sustainably through research, policy dialogues, and public awareness campaigns, both domestically and internationally. MTI is the domestic societies for Indonesia and one of founder of The East Asia Society for Transportation Study (EASTS). Currently, MTI is under the leadership of a chairman named Tory Damantoro, who frequently plays a role in the development of sustainable mobility systems across Indonesia.
