Credenco – European Business Wallet

Credenco is a Dutch software vendor offering personal and organizational wallet technology, fully compliant with eIDAS 2.0 regulations. We strongly support the goals and ambitions of the European Business Wallet, as it aims to reduce administrative burdens and enhance trust between organizations and citizens — not only within Europe, but also globally.

We have experience with both small-scale pilots (e.g. eInvoicing) and large-scale projects. In addition, we actively participate in initiatives such as Company Passport and WeBuild.
 

We believe that the adoption of a European Business Wallet will outpace that of the European Digital Identity Wallet for individuals, due to the significant economic advantages it offers to organizations. However, this will only be successful if clear standards are defined — not only to ensure interoperability between different wallet providers, but also with existing software systems such as HR, ERP, finance platforms, and even Digital Product Passports (DPPs).
 

Furthermore, new protocols must be developed to enable straight-through (STP) data sharing. These should be based on innovative technologies (e.g. DID, LinkedData) and aligned with international initiatives that promote sustainable and transparent supply chains, such as the United Nations Transparency Protocol.
