The Future Energy Show Thailand 2019 on 27 and 28 November 2019 at Impact Forum in Bangkok, in partnership with KX Knowledge Exchange Innovation Center and Whatnot , Southeast Asia's largest Innovation Hub and an ambitious start-up studio working with large Thai companies, are hosting an innovation arena showcasing start-ups designing and building solutions that are transforming the future of energy. The innovation arena is structured as a platform that will offer an opportunity to connect fast-paced entrepreneurs and their innovative solutions with industry players attending the event.

ARE YOU A START-UP?

Apply here before 1st October 2019 to be selected to participate.

Your participation in the innovation arena is an opportunity for start-ups seeking market exposure and strategic partnerships to showcase their innovations in a specific industry setting in one of the fastest growing power markets in the world

Rewards

If you are selected, you will get:

• Free all-access pass to The Future Energy Show Thailand 2019, including all conference theatres, the exhibition and networking zones 

• Opportunity to present in the exhibition space on Day 2 to a jury of industry representatives

• Access to exhibition booths at a  discounted rate of 350 USD per square meter at the exhibition space located at the innovation arena. The standard 9sqm booth is worth 4500USD*

• 1st prize:  Complimentary 9sqm booth for The Future Energy Show Thailand (non-transferrable), speaking slot x 1 in 2020 and special feature on Post-Event Report

• 2nd Prize: Complimentary podstand for The Future Energy Show Thailand (non-transferrable) and speaking slot x 1 in 2020

• All finalists: Opportunity to do a 30min pitch in Energy Innovation Theatre and podstand at a rate of USD110 (worth SGD2750)

Eligibility requirements

• Have launched a start-up innovating in and for the power sector in one of the following categories:

-Digital transformation
-Decentralised, microgrid and off-grid systems
-Clean energy (renewables, energy efficiency)
-Energy Storage and electric mobility
-New frontier technologies (AI, blockchain, IoT)
-Smart Grid
-Smart City
 

• Be incorporated and have a public facing website (preferred)

• Be able to convey a coherent business model

• Be able to demonstrate user traction

• Less than 3-years old,  have 10 employees or less

• If a start-up has external funding, it must be $500,000 or less. Priority will be given to bootstrapped start-ups with no external funding

• Shortlisted start-ups will be announced by 3 November 2019

• Participation and presentation at The Future Energy Show Thailand 2019 on 27 and 28 November 2019

Judging criteria

• Applicability: Market relevance of the idea and the problem you are solving

• Potential: Sustainability of the business model and its revenue generation

• Disruption: How does your solution innovate or disrupt the current status quo

• Team/People: Who is in your team and how they will make your start-up successful
