I hold a Bachelors in Psychology and Masters in International Studies, and have done an MBA. I'm very passionate about Africa and the developments that drive growth on the continent, and also take a keen interest in a variety of topics including energy, commodities, economies, political developments, terrorism and trade. From time to time I conduct TV and radio interviews on various channels and airwaves. As I am based in South Africa I am more attuned to local developments in the above areas, but have a vast pool of knowledge that covers that entire continent. In 2013 I was invited to participate in former US President Barack Obama's Town Hall with Young African Leaders (one of 500 youth), and in 2017 I was similarly invited to participate in a short panel discussion with former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair on the topic of "Internationalisation and Africa".
My key areas of expertise include:
- Energy (O&G, lubricants, renewables)
- Financial services (banking, insurance)
- Infrastructure
- Mining
- Automotive
- Higher education
