As CMIO at Western Health I am fortunate enough to partner with our clinicians and leaders to improve patient care through innovation. Beyond the implementation of EMR, we are laying the groundwork for a Learning Healthcare System. Our recent work includes enabling Smart-on-FHIR, piloting AI scribes as well as a health information exchange (HIE) for community providers. Western Heath are first in nation to utilise the Oracle HDI, which stands to bring data analytics to our clinicians, giving them insights that will help better deliver care to our complex patient cohorts from a large and varied community.
