Stefan is a globally recognized scientist and intrapreneur at the intersection of AI, life sciences, and digital health. With degrees from TU Munich and research scholarships at MIT and UC Berkeley, he has spent two decades turning breakthrough ideas into technologies — from wearable AI predicting epileptic seizures to agentic AI platforms accelerating discovery. As Director of AI for Science at Australia’s National Science Agency CSIRO, he leads an enterprise transformation program building AI lab assistants for scientists in health, medicine and biology. A former IBM Research leader, TEDx speaker, and advisor to Harvard Medical School, Stefan holds 74 granted patents and 70+ publications, blending technical expertise with strategic foresight.
