Sam Freeman, Research Fellow, Macquarie University

Sam Freeman is a postdoctoral research fellow at Macquarie University’s Australian Institute of Health Innovation in the Centre for Health Informatics and senior research fellow in the St Vincent’s Hospital Emergency Department. His research focuses on the development, application, and integration of artificial intelligence in healthcare, with particular attention to governance, implementation, and the interactions between clinicians, patients, and new technologies. Sam has led multi-site studies, secured national grants, and published on AI ethics, governance and implementation.
