Paul is a Principal and Co-Lead of Digital Health at the Nous Group, an International Management Consultancy, since February 2022. Paul is based in our Melbourne Office and leads the Victorian health practice, and works across all of our Australian offices, including our Toronto office. Nous has operated for 25 years, has over 700 staff, with 70 Principals across offices all over Australia, and offices in London and Toronto.

Paul primarily works in the Health & Ageing sector, and commonly collaborates with our Human Services and Higher Education sectors, and work closely with federal and state governments, health services and universities on a diversity of health system, health workforce reform and digital health projects.

Originally a medical practitioner, Paul spent just over a decade in senior leadership roles in healthcare, most recently as the Chief Medical Officer of Western Health. Paul has worked across the public and private healthcare sectors, including deep experience in health education, research and innovation.

Paul's passion is in health services research and innovation, and has published several articles in high-impact journals, regularly speaks at conferences, and still teaches health services leadership and management at the College and university level. Paul is also a Research Fellow at the Uiversity of melbourne and an Adjunct Professor with Victoria University.

In addition to his MB.BS (medical) qualification, Paul also has a Bachelor in Biomedical Science, Master in Health Administration, Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators and Fellowship with the Australasian College of Health Service Management. Paul is a Graduate of the Company Directors Course with the Australian Institute of Company Directors and sits on the MIPS medical indemnity insurance Board.
