Dr Paresh Dawda is a general practitioner, implementation scientist, and health system leader with over 25 years of healthcare experience. He is the Founder and Director of Prestantia Health, the Director and Principal General Practitioner of Next Practice Canberra, and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Canberra. Paresh works at the intersection of primary care, digital health, artificial intelligence, implementation science, and health system transformation. His particular interest is not simply in developing new technologies, but in how digital tools, data, and AI can be integrated into everyday clinical workflows to improve access, quality, patient experience, and the sustainability of healthcare. Through Next Practice Canberra, he helps implement digitally enabled, multidisciplinary models of care, including patient-reported measures, population health analytics, virtual care, and AI-supported clinical and administrative workflows. His broader work focuses on learning health systems, healthy ageing, frailty, chronic disease, consumer partnership, and value-based healthcare. Paresh also contributes to health system governance as a member of the ACT Health System-Wide Clinical Governance Committee, Chair of the Carers ACT Clinical Governance Committee, and a member of the RACGP NSW & ACT Faculty Council. Through Prestantia Health, he advises health services, Primary Health Networks, and governments on primary care transformation, implementation, and system redesign. He brings a clinician's perspective to digital transformation: the value of technology lies not in the technology itself, but in whether it helps us deliver better care.
