Mitra’s career is defined by building and scaling Centers of Excellence for cybersecurity and technology governance at leading international and Australian banks, and most recently, in the health sector. As Accenture’s Global Cyber Health Leader, Mitra shapes the global cyber strategy for healthcare, driving innovation and resilience across multiple geographies. Mitra is a trusted advisor to boards and executive committees, enabling effective governance, risk management, and strategic investment decisions. As Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Healthscope in 2019 - 2022, Mitra defined and operationalised an enterprise-wide cybersecurity program spanning 42 hospitals and serving over one million patients annually. Under Mitra’s leadership, Healthscope achieved market-leading cyber maturity, delivering robust threat intelligence, resilient security solutions, and a culture of continuous improvement. As an Adjunct Professor at Deakin University, Mitra bridges industry and academia, mentoring the next generation of cyber leaders. As a long-standing ISACA Melbourne Chapter Board member for over 17 years, Mitra championed effective governance and member value. Mitra’s governance expertise extends to board and advisory roles, including the Uniting AgeWell Digital Governance Committee, the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC), the Australian Information Security Association (AISA), and Deakin University’s Centre for Cyber Security Research and Innovation (CSRI).
