Melissa Govranos is a dynamic and curious healthcare leader with a passion for transforming patient experience and strengthening consumer engagement across the healthcare system. A registered nurse by background, she is currently Director of Patient Experience and Consumer Partnerships at Monash Health and brings more than 20 years’ experience spanning public and private healthcare. Melissa has worked with large multidisciplinary teams and led complex improvement initiatives across workforce development, quality, safety, and person‑centred care—usually with a coffee in hand and a healthy respect for just how hard meaningful change can be. Melissa specialises in consumer engagement, feedback systems, and clinical governance, with a strong focus on turning lived experience into insight‑driven, system‑wide improvement. Known for her pragmatic and collaborative leadership style, she is passionate about amplifying the consumer voice, asking better questions, and helping teams move from reactive problem‑solving to sustainable change—while having some fun along the way. She has a strong interest in the intersection of digital technology and human experience (staff and consumers), and in how connected, patient‑centred systems can drive better outcomes for people and services alike.
