Jim O’Shea is a proud Gumbaynggirr man and Chief Operating Officer and Company Secretary at the Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (VACCHO). In this role, he leads the strategic direction and operational performance of Victoria’s peak body for Aboriginal health and wellbeing. Jim has played a key role in establishing the Centre of Excellence for Aboriginal Digital in Health (CEADH) and is a tireless advocate for Aboriginal health and data sovereignty. His expertise spans research, data governance, Indigenous Data Sovereignty (ID-Sov) and Indigenous Data Governance (ID-Gov).  With more than 40 years’ experience across legal, financial, and business management, Jim brings a strong track record of delivering outcomes and creating value for diverse stakeholders, including the private sector, not-for-profit organisations and marginalised communities.
