Erica Rojas Wood is a Data & Application Specialist at the Diabetes & Endocrinology Department at Perth Children’s Hospital, and a Product Development Lead within the Children’s Diabetes Centre (CDC) at the Kids Research Institute. Using her previous experience as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist, and further studies in Data Analytics, her work is centred around improving health outcomes for people living with chronic health conditions. In her roles at PCH, she is using digital tools and data to improve the service and care delivered to patients and families living with Type 1 Diabetes in WA. Within the CDC, she works alongside consumers, clinicians, and software engineers, to design, develop, implement & evaluate the DiabHQ project that is developing and implementing digital health tools alongside clinical care for those living with diabetes.
