Andrew Wiltshire is head of Digital Health at the Medical Technology Association of Australia

Andrew has more than three decades of experience spanning clinical care, the medical technology industry, and digital health policy. He began his career as a registered nurse before moving into senior leadership roles in the medtech sector, including over 20 years with Medtronic where he worked extensively in market access, reimbursement, and government relations.

He later served as Head of Healthcare Public Policy for Asia Pacific and Japan at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he led engagement with governments and stakeholders on digital health, health data, and the role of cloud technologies in enabling more sustainable and scalable healthcare systems.

Andrew has been actively involved in industry leadership, including roles with the Medical Technology Association of Australia (MTAA) and the Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association (APACMed), contributing to policy development in digital health, data governance, and reimbursement reform.

Andrew holds an MBA from the University of New England and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is also a board member of Hearts4Heart and ARCS Australia.

He brings a unique cross-sector perspective, bridging clinical experience, industry insight, and technology policy to support the evolution of modern healthcare systems.
