Andrew has been a teacher for more than six years and has been in the IT industry for nearly 15 years. Having a passion for web design and web application programming, Andrew has seen many facets of  IT, including being a part of a state-wide Network Operations Center in the USA, running his own web design business and implementing Computing and Computer Science curricula to schools in both Thailand and Malaysia. Andrew's educational philosophy can currently be viewed  at a  start-up school in Malaysia where he conducts classes using the flipped-classroom model and mastery learning approach. He believes that the role of teachers is changing, and that, as teachers, we need to learn to align ourselves  alongside students in showing them how to learn independently of any one teacher or system and to give them the helping hand to enable them to be successful in their academic careers.
