COL Tom Clancy serves as Chief of Identity Solutions in the Office of the Secretary of Defense’s Deputy CIO for Cybersecurity staff. Originally commissioned as an Armor Officer from the United States Military Academy, Clancy was assessed into what has become Functional Area 26 (Information Network Engineer) in 1998.
He has deployed in automation services and cyber security roles at the Brigade, Division, and Corps/Joint Task Force echelons. He most recently served as Chief of USTRANSCOM’s Joint Cyber Center.
He holds a BS in Systems Engineering from the United States Military Academy, an MS in Computer Science from SUNY Stony Brook, and an MS in National Resource Strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces.
