Sung Hyun Ha, Acting Director, Sea Innovation, Mobility, and Biometric Advancement (SIMBA), Planning, Program Analysis and Evaluation, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)

Sung Hyun Ha is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Officer and Program Manager in the Entry/Exit Transformation Office within the Office of Field Operations at CBP. In this role, Mr Ha leads the development and integration of facial biometric technology into CBP’s entry and inspection operations to transform the arrival process at air and sea Ports of Entry. Prior to his position within the Entry/Exit Office, Mr Ha served as a supervisory officer at Washington Dulles International Airport, and he previously led the implementation of Global Entry – CBP’s premier trusted traveler program and Automated Passport Control at CBP headquarters in Washington, DC.
Over the past five years, Mr. Ha has played a key role in advancing CBP’s innovation efforts to secure and enhance the travel experience.
