Officially established in October 2000, the RailRoad Association of South Africa (RRA) is a non-profit company that acts as a forum for the national railway industry, providing them with a link to the public, the Road Freight Association and Government Authorities. The RRA seeks to establish a smooth working relationship between the two national surface transport modes to promote the interests of South Africa, its people, the economy and the environment. The RRA is an Export Council promoting the exports of the South African railway products and services. Members comprise corporate and companies with an interest in railway transport.
