Mr. Yasantha Dissanayake has been a key figure in the airline industry since 2004 and currently serves as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of SriLankan Airlines, in addition to his role as Group Chief Financial Officer. He provides strategic leadership and financial stewardship across the SriLankan Airlines Group, overseeing Finance, Commercial Procurement, Logistics, and Properties. Throughout his tenure, Mr. Dissanayake has led several pioneering financing initiatives, including SriLankan Airlines’ first international bond issue and an Islamic financing facility, both of which earned regional recognition. He also played a pivotal role in structuring the pre-delivery financing for the A330-300 fleet, which was awarded the “PDP Financing Deal of the Year” by Air Finance Journal in 2014. Prior to joining the airline, he held senior roles in investment banking and telecommunications. He is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK) and holds an MBA from the University of Wales, Cardiff.
