The African Rail Industry Association (ARIA) is a non-profit company dedicated to the sustainable growth and improvement of the rail sector in South Africa and throughout the African continent. Since its inception in 2008 as an export council, ARIA has been actively engaged and continues to work closely with the Department of Trade, Industry, and Competition (DTIC). The company plays a vital role in promoting rail exports and advancing infrastructure development. ARIA actively collaborates with government bodies, industry leaders, and international stakeholders to strengthen the rail network, promote intra-Africa trade under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), and stimulate economic growth.
