Joy Haugh, BSN, Senior Director and Safety Lead in Global Pharmacovigilance at Sarepta Therapeutics. Joy is a pharmacovigilance and drug safety leader with nearly 20 years of experience spanning biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and rare disease drug development. She has held leadership roles across clinical development and post-marketing safety programs, with deep expertise in signal detection, benefit-risk assessment, risk management, regulatory submissions, and health authority interactions.  At Sarepta, Joy leads safety evaluation and risk management activities supporting innovative therapies for rare genetic diseases, including gene therapy and RNA-targeted programs. Throughout her career, she has contributed to global regulatory strategies, safety governance, and the development of risk management frameworks that help ensure patient safety while advancing transformative medicines. She is also an active member of the Greater Boston Pharmacovigilance community and a contributor to scientific presentations and publications in the rare disease space. Prior to Sarepta, Joy held safety and pharmacovigilance positions of increasing responsibility at Merrimack Pharmaceuticals, Biogen, Synageva, Ariad Pharmaceuticals, and PAREXEL International.  Her work is focused on advancing patient safety while supporting the development of innovative therapies for rare diseases.
