Dr. Waksman is a physician and global drug safety leader with years of experience across therapeutic areas and treatment modalities. He has held roles of increasing responsibility and led drug safety teams throughout his career.  He trained in Internal Medicine and Medical Toxicology with expertise in hepatotoxicology. Javier is a Fellow of the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology and serves as an Associate Clinical Professor at UCSF.  He is a member of the CIOMS Drug-Induced Liver Injury working groups and contributed to the CIOMS publication Drug-induced liver injury (DILI): Current status and future directions for drug development and the post-market setting. He currently serves as President of PharmaSec LLC and Head of Drug Safety at Neurona Therapeutics.
