Prof Dr.Doğan Aydal, Faculty of Engineering, Ankara University

Prof. Dr. Doğan AYDAL has graduated as “Mining Geology Engineer” from the University of Hacettepe( Turkey) in 1976. He spent about six months for learning English  in International House Hastings-England and got his Ph.D degree from the University of Leeds in England in 1980.

He has worked as engineer in MTA ( General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration) prior and after compulsary military service until October 1982. He has got  “Assistant Professor” title in 1982 and “Associate Professor” title in 1991 at the Faculty of Sciences of Ankara University. He has worked as ”Guest lecturer” at the University of Cincinnati in USA, in winter  term in 1994. He served  as “Prof. Dr.” in Engineering Faculty of Ankara University from 2000 to  2014. Since 2014 he is serving as adviser to the national and international firms. Besides, he has his own mining firm  and having five concession right areas in Eastern Turkey. He is expert on mining, energy politics, remote sensing and geographic information systems. 

He has been appointed and served as “Under Secretary to Prime Minister”, “Adviser to the Prime Minister”, “ Adviser to the Turkish Grand National Assembly”, “ Member of the Executive Committee of Sümer Holding”, “Member of the Ankara University Senate”, Director of the Kastamonu Polytechnique of Ankara University and Director of Africa Research Centre of Ankara University ”in various periods between 1982 to 2013.

He visited 54 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and America for various reasons. He published 13 Books. Some of his Books called “Maden Savaşları- Wars on Mining Deposits”, “Petrolsüz Dünya- World without Oil”, “Enerji Kan Kokuyor-Energy Smells Bloody”, “Sular Kızıl Akacak- “Water will flow into the red” and “Enerjiye Açılan Karanlık Kapılar-The opened dark roads to Energy” became very well known by the Public.
