Tunc Berkman, Chief Marketing Officer And Sales Vice President Of Mobile Products, Vestel

He graduated from Syracuse University with a BA degree in Economics and got his MBA degree from Babson College. After graduating, he worked as a consultant in Monitor Company. His main assignments were in telecommunication, retailing and e-commerce projects at their New York branch.
In June 2000, he returned to Turkey and started to work as the New Business Development Manager for Koç Holding, where he lead the M&A deals. He was the leader of the first comprehensive e-transformation project in Turkey for the Koç group, and he became the Strategic Planning Manager of Koç IT Group. He also established «BookinTurkey» the first online-travel  e-commerce model in Turkey and «Tanı/Paro» the first direct database management&marketing company in Turkey.  He was the Operations and Planning Group Manager and then Strategic Planning Manager at Tanı. In 2004, he became the Business Development Manager for Arçelik Corporation. From 2005 to 2007 he worked as the Marketing Group Manager for Arçelik. As the Marketing Group Manager he was responsible not only for production plans and pricing but also new business development projects and CRM management.
In July 2007, he started working as the Strategic Planning Marketing Director in Avea Communication Services Corporation. In January 2009, he became Corporate Customer Segment and MVNO Director and Acting Strategic Planning Director in AVEA Telecommunications. In June 2010 he became the General Manager of People Communcations Media Agency. Since June of 2010, while working as professional manager he also invested in other businesses as one of the Turkey’s first angel investors. In September 2011, he transferred to Veritas Media as the General Manager.
In November 2013, he joined Vestel as the Chief Marketing Officer.  As of September 2018, in addition to his responsibilites as the CMO, he has become responsible for outsource product management, merchandising and Vice President of Sales for mobile products.
