Faisal Ahmed is Digital Platforms & Engineering Director at Banglalink, where he leads the development and scaling of digital platforms, AI-driven services, and enterprise ICT solutions. His responsibilities include overseeing digital architecture, platform engineering, and the evolution of Banglalink’s digital ecosystem, including its SuperApp, OTT platforms, AdTech capabilities, and AI-enabled services.
He has nearly two decades of experience across telecommunications, digital platforms, and enterprise technology, with a focus on building and scaling digital businesses across emerging markets in Asia and Africa. At Banglalink, he has led initiatives under VEON’s digital transformation agenda, including development of the MyBL SuperApp, the RYZE digital brand, and Toffee OTT platform, as well as AI-led digital service initiatives.
Prior to Banglalink, Faisal held senior leadership roles at Robi Axiata, where he led innovation, digital product development, and enterprise ICT solutions covering cloud, IoT, fintech, and analytics services for enterprise and public sector customers. He also led digital ventures including bdapps, a national app marketplace, and bdtickets, an online ticketing platform.
Earlier in his career, he held technology and solution roles at Grameenphone, Ericsson, and ZTE, working across BSS transformation, product development, and network solution integration.
Faisal holds an MBA in Marketing and International Business and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering. He is PMP and Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certified and has completed executive education in leadership and emerging technologies.
