Arkar Nyunt Wai is Vice President and Head of Technology Governance at ATOM Myanmar, where he leads the operator’s enterprise-wide initiatives in information security, technology risk, and regulatory compliance. Reporting directly to the Board and executive leadership, he plays a critical role in reducing risk exposure, ensuring audit readiness, and aligning technology governance with business resilience.

With over 22 years of experience across SCADA, telecom, and security domains, Arkar has led multi-disciplinary teams in Myanmar and abroad — including senior leadership roles at Telenor and project delivery across Southeast Asia during his time with Nokia Networks. His governance approach combines strategic oversight with operational rigour, driving measurable improvements in cybersecurity maturity, fraud prevention, and control assurance.

He holds the CISM certification and has completed advanced programs with SANS Institute. A frequent point of coordination with regulators, auditors, and cross-functional stakeholders, Arkar brings both technical depth and strategic clarity to the evolving role of security and governance in telco operations.
