Dr Dora Hu Juanjuan is currently Principal Scientist and Principal Investigator at the Sustainability Directorate, Institute of Advanced Intelligence and Computing (IAIC), Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore. She is an adjunct associate professor at school of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She is currently the chair of IEEE Photonics Society Singapore Chapter. She received the B.Eng. (Hons.) and Ph.D. degrees from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2004 and 2009, respectively. From 2009 to 2012, she was with Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), A*STAR, as a Scientist and a Principal Investigator in developing novel fiber devices for sensor applications. In 2012, she received the A*STAR Postdoctoral Fellowship (2012–2014) under which she joined the Wellman Center for Photomedicine, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA, USA, as a Research Fellow and was working on novel photonic technologies for endoscopic diagnosis. She joined the Femtosecond Optics Group, Imperial College London in 2013, where she was working on visible and mid-infrared fiber lasers. She has published 4 book chapters and over 100 refereed journals and conference articles in the field of fiber optics and sensors. She has been listed in Singapore 100 Women in Tech 2023 and listed in the top 2% most cited scientists 2024.
