Thomas Kritzer joined Wiener Linien in 2004, he held various leading positions in the Metro operation division till 2014, including the deputy position from 2007 till 2014. The division is responsible for Vienna´s whole metro operation on five lines. He was the head of Wiener Linien´s department Security and Service from 2014 till 2016, being responsible for all operational security activities of Wiener Linien. From 2016 to 2017 he held the position of the Head of the Business unit Operations control and customer service, being responsible for all operational support and preparation activities and departments. Since September 2017 he is the head of the Tramway operations division. He holds a master degree in civil engineering.  He was a member of the UITP (International Association of Public Transport) Security commission from 2007 till 2017 and was its Chairman from 2011-2015.
