}Marc has been advising on digital health strategy and investment through his company Digitalhealth.Network since early 2015. Marc’s passionate about fostering the global digital health ecosystem, with a particular focus on bringing together investors and entrepreneurs as well as innovators from the Life Sciences industry, with the aim of driving adoption and scale of digital health solutions. Marc is advisor to Merck Global Health Innovation Fund, the largest dedicated global digital health venture fund, with $500M in assets managed. In addition, Marc acts as advisor on digital health strategy and investment to both startups as well as large companies (such as Nestle) and Private Equity Funds.

}Marc has chaired the HealthTech Summit and has developed this in 2 years time into the leading European event for investors in digital health. Over the years he has built up a unique personal network of 900+ digital health stakeholders, equally distributed across US and EU (PE/VC investors representing >$1400Bn AUM, founders/CEO’s of digital health companies and LS industry innovators). For more than 5 years now, Marc’s monthly digital health newsletter is recognised as one of the most comprehensive sources of market information by many of the 900+ readers. Marc regularly participates in pan-European venture events focused on med tech & digital health, and was nominated as one of top influencers in Digital Health in Europe at the 2014 Healthees Global Awards, and as digital health industry leader in Health 2.0’s 10 year retrospective award.

}Marc has 20 years of experience working with the Life Sciences and Technology industry, in health information business (IMS Health), Life Sciences management consulting (Accenture), and biotech (MerckSerono). Most recently, Marc was responsible for M&A and digital health partnerships at Oracle Health Sciences, where his involvement ranged from the acquisition of ClearTrial and partnership with Greenphire to Oracle's investment in Proteus Digital Health.

}Marc’s a Swiss & Dutch national living in Switzerland since 2000; he studied business administration at Erasmus Rotterdam as well as in Aix-en-Provence, more recently completed by executive courses at IMD (Driving Strategic Innovation), INSEAD (Managing Partnerships & Strategic Alliances), London Business School (Private Equity Masterclass), Singularity University (Futuremed/Exponential Medicine) and EPFL (Startup Board Academy, New Ventures Evaluation and Exit Academy); he speaks English, French, Dutch and German. Marc enjoys family life with his wife and 2 children in and around Geneva (boating, swimming, rowing, skiing, and hiking).
