JJ Hjalmarson is an EVP and Chief Operating Officer of The Gerson Company, an +80 year old importer and distributor of Home Decor, Furnishings, and Seasonal Product to both National and Independently owned retailers. As COO JJ is responsible for Imports, Warehousing and Distribution, eCommerce, Freight, and Facilities. JJ is also founder and Principal of First Sale Tariff, an JHM2 LLC, where he works with importers helping them navigate the everchanging world of Duties and Tariffs, leveraging First Sale Strategies for duty reductions. Previously, JJ worked at Kurt Salmon where he worked with Fortune 500 Retailers focused on solving the most complex Supply Chain, eCommerce, and Cost Challenges. JJ holds a bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University. In his free time, JJ loves to spend time with his family, golf, and cook.
