Con-Pearl is a manufacturer of lightweight plastic products for the automotive, packaging, and logistics industries plus many more. We have a mission of ensuring sustainability in a circular economy and this begins at our own recycling plants in Germany.

Launching in 1990, our value-added process starts with the extraction of plastic granulate from post-industrial polypropylene and polyethylene waste. Later in the value chain we utilize the granulate to produce thermally laminated lightweight boards made of polypropylene foils. The boards are then converted in to individual reusable packaging systems for a variety of sectors. Con-Pearl goes from in-house recycled granulate, to customer specific applications, then back to granulate again – fulfilling our mission statement daily.

Our Con-Pearl technology was developed in the early 90’s. The production of our 3mm, 5mm, and 10mm boards started in 1991 with returnable packaging (sleeve pack) conversions starting in 1992. Our technology in Europe continued to evolve until US expansion was explored and eventually settled on. In 2011 Con-Pearl North America was founded in Greenville, South Carolina with live production starting in 2013. Growth in North America has continued to this day, with additional lines and machines being added on an annual basis to keep up with customer demand.

For over 34 years Con-Pearl has globally been the standard for lightweight performance. Innovation and quality are key pillars of our success, while versatility and strength are critical components of our growth. Con-Pearl is your preferred partner for custom lightweight design solutions.

For 34 years Con-Pearl has been the global leader and benchmark in supplying lightweight, high performance polypropylene boards, sleeves and returnable packaging solutions. Boards made of Con-Pearl consist of three polypropylene layers, with the middle layer obtains its strength and structure by thermoforming while the outer layers are laminated. The result is a lightweight and stable trilaminate structure – approximately 50% lighter than wood.

Con-Pearl boards are also weatherproof. Rain, snow, sleet, or sunshine…our outer trilaminate layers and sealed top and bottom allow our boards to reject all weather. This also enables our material be to corrosion, rot, and chemical resistant.

Being weatherproof speaks to only one part of Con-Pearl’s durability. With a hinge rating of 200k, you can safely erect and collapse our finished sleeves 200,000 times before the hinge reaches a point of failure.

Our products are not only long-lasting, they are also completely customizable. Offering heights up to 78” with 30+ standard footprints, Con-Pearl can customize every dimension of your application-specific solution. With state-of-the-art CNC machining holes, heights and designs can be cut to match your need. And with in-house printing available, Con-Pearl can offer turnkey solutions without going outside the walls of our Greenville, South Carolina facility.

The customizable options extend beyond the Con-Pearl boards and sleeves. Con-Pearl has selectively partnered with some of the top injection-molding and thermoforming companies in the US to offer completely custom pallets and lids. From 23” x 29” to 96” x 76” and everything in between, if you have a specific need we have a team of partners ready to assist.

With us, your residual materials and industrial waste get a 2nd chance. We recycle industrial residual materials into high-quality, customer-specific compounds. Together, we improve our ecological footprint. We offer you a modern, cost-effective logistics concept and a process-reliable process chain

From residual material to raw material! For us, conserving resources means making a major contribution to our planet. The earth we have inhabited for thousands of years.

We offer our upstream suppliers a safe recycling route for waste, surplus and scrap production of polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE). High-quality secondary raw materials are produced from industrial residual materials in our plastics recycling and compounding plants in Leinefelde & Hillscheid. Both plants are certified waste management companies and certified according to ISO 14001 environmental management and ISO 9001 quality management.
