Mauricio Morales-Castillo is the Associate Director of Global Medical Biosimilars at Abbott’s medicines business. Prior to joining Abbott, Mauricio worked at Novartis LATAM, where he led the medical team for Cardiovascular and Respiratory, and established the Real-World-Evidence (RWE) and implementation science team for the region. Previously, Mauricio held managerial positions at Sanofi and Janssen across multiple therapeutic areas – including Oncology, Hematology, and Immunology – with responsibilities spanning both local and global scopes. He is passionate about transforming healthcare for benefit of patients. Mauricio holds a degree in Medicine from La Sabana University (Colombia) and has two Master of Science degrees from Universidad Pompeu Fabra (Spain): one in Pharmaceutical and Biotech Industry, and another in Medical, Environmental, and Scientific Communication.
