Richard is founder and CEO of Zen Internet, the UK’s largest B Corp certified telecommunications and technology service provider. A multi-time Which? recommended broadband provider, and PC Pro’s best provider for 20 consecutive years, Richard started Zen in 1995 with only a handful of dial-up modems. The rise of the internet since then has been remarkable and Richard has been at the forefront of an industry that has fundamentally changed the shape of how we communicate and do business.

Richard is fully focussed on ensuring Zen’s ethos underpins every aspect of the service it provides, all whilst making the right decisions for long-term success and sustainability and challenging the bad practices the industry has become renowned for. Case in point, Zen is one of a very small number of broadband providers who prioritises customer loyalty with its contract price promise.

Richard has been instrumental in creating a people-first culture at Zen ensuring customers get an award-winning service that has many times been voted the UK’s best.
