Alexandre Fonseca, Executive Manager, Altice Labs and CTO, Portugal Telecom

With over 20 years of professional experience, Alexandre Fonseca is currently Chief Technology
Officer at Portugal Telecom, since June 2015, in charge of Engineering & Network, IT, Field Operations,
B2B Operations, CyberSecurity and overall Technical Operations. He is also the Executive Manager for
ALTICE LABS Portugal, the Portuguese based Research & Development unit for Altice Group, in charge
of the Innovation and Future Thinking on Technology, focusing on Hardware Development, OSS/BSS
and TV & Interactive Platforms. He joined Altice in 2012, upon the entrance of the Group in Portugal.

Previously he was the CEO at ONI Portugal and ONI Mozambique (B2B Telecom Operators), and before
that he was the CTO at Cabovisão (B2C and B2B Cable Operator). Between 1995 and 2007, worked on
the IT and Telecommunications industries on Senior Management and Management Consulting
positions, in Portugal and in multiple international assignments, with companies such as Coopers &
Lybrant, PriceWaterhouseCoopers and IBM.

Member of several Telecom & IT Sector associations, he collaborates with entities in the areas of
Project Management, Strategy and Communication and often cooperates with specialized Portuguese
Media, writing business and technology papers. He’s an invited speaker/professor in academic
initiatives in the areas of Telecom, Technology and Management.

Business and Technology Strategy specialist, he has developed his work in several complex and
Multinational Projects, as well as in different Portuguese operations in the area of Technology,
Operations, Innovation and IT, with special emphasis in Transformation, Restructuring,
Reorganization and M&A processes.

He holds a Degree in Computer Science Engineering by Lisbon University and a Master Degree in Sales
& Marketing Management by TeamView Institute.

Alexandre Fonseca is 42 years old and was born in Lisbon. He is married and has a 12 years old boy.
