Michael Thompson leads all aspects of NatureBox’s operations, including supply chain strategy and execution, customer service, fulfillment, transportation and inventory management.  

Michael brings to NatureBox two decades of operations expertise, most recently spending eight years at Bare Escentuals, a $2B beauty brand, where he led North American operations. Here, Michael played a critical role in building Bare Escentuals’ supply chain infrastructure, successfully transitioning the company from third party fulfillment to an in-house, full service 500,000 square-foot warehouse.

Michael’s passion for operations stems from his drive to impart holistic solutions — ones that create operational effectiveness and efficiencies while surprising and delighting the consumer. Or as he simply puts it, “I like to make things work better and faster.”

Naturally process driven, Michael earned his Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo and went on to receive a Masters of Management in Manufacturing from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Michael resides in the Bay Area with his wife and son. In his free time, he spends his time with his family and loves to be outdoors, whether he’s camping, skiing, swimming or cheering on the Stanford football team as a season ticket holder.
