Don La France, Vice President of Logistics and Supply Chain Solutions, 1-800 Flowers.com Inc

Don La France is the Enterprise Vice President Logistics and Supply Chain Solutions for 1-800-FLOWERS.COM.  In this role he is responsible for all 1-800-flowers global transportation, network strategy and the product owner of supply chain technology systems.

Before joining 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, Don had over 25 years logistics, transportation, warehousing, purchasing and operations management experience and held senior logistics positions in a number of leading corporations including enVista, a leading global supply chain consulting and IT services firm, where Don was the Director of Transportation Services.  
Prior to enVista Don was the Director of Operations for Parachute Inc. a nationwide scheduled local delivery service started by Sterling Payot Company, a San Francisco based Boutique Venture Capital firm.  Parachutes core focus was on higher end customers who purchased luxury goods via ecommerce and demanded a higher level of customer service and a scheduled delivery

Prior to joining Parachute, Don was the Director of Logistics Services for MicroAge Inc., based in Tempe Arizona.   MicroAge was a Fortune 500 computer distributor and integrator with over $7 billion dollars in annual sales.  Don was directly responsible for all the warehousing, distribution and transportation functions of two MicroAge business groups with combined annual sales of over $2 billion dollars.
Before MicroAge, Don was the Corporate Parts Manager for Cummins Southwest, a distributor for Cummins Engine Company.  Don was responsible for all the corporations supply chain functions in the Southwest including: warehousing, distribution, transportation and purchasing.  Don also worked for Avnet running their Military and Commercial Warehouses in Chandler Arizona.  

He started his career in the US Air Force and spent 13 years in various operational leadership roles in aircraft maintenance and logistics.  While in the Air Force he was awarded numerous medals for his outstanding service including the Meritorious Service Medal and two Air Force Commendations Medals.

Don's education includes a Master Of Arts Degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix, a Bachelors Degree in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Associates in Science Degree in Aircraft Maintenance, also from Embry-Riddle and Associates in Applied Science Degree in Aircraft Maintenance Technology from The Community College of the Air Force.

Don resides in Manhattan with his wife Nina, who is a Magazine Publishing Executive.
