Toner Cable Equipment Inc. is one of the oldest distributors in the telecommunications industries. Established in 1971, Toner celebrated their 50th anniversary in May of 2021. The company was started by Bob Toner who had previously been the sales manager at Jerrold Electronics (now CommScope) in the 60’s. Bob started in a very modest way in his basement and garage with his wife Shawn and three young children.
In these 50 years there has been many changes as we have grown into a worldwide telecommunications solution’s provider. We stock equipment for over 100 manufacturers including our own Toner line of products.
BJ Toner, Bob’s son is now president and his two sons Rob and Sean are on board.
In 1989 we began supplying the UK and European Cable market with our Quadtap and now the Total Tap. In 1996 we established Toner Cable Equipment UK Ltd. in England where we supply customers throughout Europe and the Middle East. Our Toner Pro Sound and Video was established in 2019 to
supply and install pro sound and video systems for Schools, Board rooms, Fitness centers, Hotels and anywhere this system may be needed.
Now in our 50th year we do a heck of a lot more than Cable TV Equipment. We have been supplying equipment and designs for RF over fiber distribution, Satellite antenna system, IPTV solutions, Digital TV
systems, Custom headends, systems designs and instillations by our field service team.
Our field service team is part of our Pro Services Department. Pro services provide technical support, designs, installations, consulting, TV systems and upgrades and service contracts. Pro services are
also providing updated specifications for customers to use in their RFP’s when they are looking for project specifications.
