Eric Gilbert is a Life Sciences consultant in the Professional Services Group at Elsevier. Eric received his PhD in organic chemistry at UC Irvine and has 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry working in drug discovery. He is an author or co-author on 16 publications and an inventor on 25 US patents. Eric and his colleagues were the recipient of the Edison Patent Award in recognition of their work on Merck’s Phase III clinical candidate for Alzheimer’s disease. This experience and a background in data science is brought to bear on analytics and predictive modeling projects for clients in the pharmaceutical industry and government agencies.
