I'm passionate about developing and applying technologies to determine function of genes and genomes, having tangible positive impacts on target ID, target validation, drug discovery and drug development, and translating results from human genetics into drug discovery programs.
I joined GSK in April 2019 to lead global efforts in Functional Genomics. The GSK Functional Genomics Department is currently approximately 150 scientists with sites in Upper Providence, PA (USA), Stevenage (UK) and Heidelberg (Germany). We have strong capabilities in Omics Technologies, Cell and Tissue Sciences, Gene Editing and Computational Biology. We are investing internally to significantly grow the team and add new capabilities, and we have multiple external partnerships with leading academic groups and CROs. We aim to be the industry-leading Functional Genomics Group and to transform target and drug discovery at GSK.
