Kevin started his professional career in the design of communication systems for military aviation in the mid-80s, working on UK projects for Tornado and Nimrod AEW. This was followed by several years in applied research into structured coding techniques for high performance hardware devices.

Kevin then joined one of the world’s leading Economic Development Agencies, Scottish Enterprise, supporting technologies companies with both technology and market development activities. This led a role in the attraction of Foreign Direct Investment, which Kevin continued for 8 years eventually assuming responsibility for a global organisation of 120 staff across 11 offices.

In 2000, Kevin left public service and joined a small software business specialising in customer service solution. As CEO, Kevin led an MBO and then sold to one of the UK’s leading customer contact specialists in 2010. Kevin joined AviIT Ltd in 2011 and focused on commercial development with the majority of time committed to the Bluebox Avionics joint venture that specialises in the provision of portable and wireless Inflight entertainment systems.

His lifelong interest in aviation includes time as a pilot in the RAFVR. Kevin is married with 2 daughters and lives in Scotland where he indulges in his other great passion, sailing.
