Arnaud Vamparys, 49 years old, a graduate of the École Polytechnique and the École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications (X-Mines), joined the Orange Group in 1995 having held a number of positions in France, the Netherlands and in Spain within the mobile, internet and business markets. While he was chief of engineering of Dutchtone, he built a new mobile network in the Netherlands between 1998 and 2000. From 2000 to 2003, he was CTIO for Spanish ISP Wanadoo which became the number two player in its market after Terra (Telefonica). From 2003 to 2007, he was the VP Products and Services Development for Orange Business Services (France Telecom, Transpac and Equant) and was responsible for creating the Orange Business Livebox, a new multimedia router product which is still used today by more than 75% of the French business sites. His next position was as the Orange Labs Mass Market VP, in charge of the group?s &D site at Issy-Les-Moulineaux near Paris. From 2011 to 2014, he was appointed as the ?Seamless Wireless Access? Group Strategic Programme Director for the Orange executive committee. As part of the Group?s Conquest2015 strategy, he drove the programme to become leader in mobile internet customer experience for Europe and Middle East Africa. In 2014, Arnaud Vamparys was appointed Senior Vice President for Radio Networks within the Group. Since 2017, he also holds the role of 5G group champion and coordinates the different customer value creation initiatives being developed for this new mobile network generation.
