Digital transformation and innovation of the year

 

Open to: All companies operating in the Middle East, Central and South Asia and North Africa.

The Middle East will be defined by the following countries for the purpose of the award - GCC countries (to include Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates), Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Palestine Territories and Turkey. 

Central and South Asia will be defined by the following countries for the purpose of the award - Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

North Africa will be defined by the following countries for the purpose of the award - Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Mali, Morocco, Sudan, Tunisia, Libya and Mauritania.

Companies and entities operating in finance, retail, ecommerce and government are facing unprecedented external and industry change, driven by new digital technologies which are being adopted by consumers and which in turn is changing traditional strategies.  


This award recognises those brands who the judges believe have most successfully reengineered and re-energised their business for the new digital age and who look set to deliver sustainable growth. 

 

Criteria: 

Entrants will be judged on a 1500 word essay. You are encouraged to use figures and statistics in the essay.  

You should also include the following points in your answer:

  • Name of your company
  • In detail, the new technologies that you have introduced in the last year
  • How does the new technology enhance the customer experience 
  • What makes your company innovative 
  • How does your brand stand out from the competition 
  • How has your business model changed with the times to embrace new technologies 
  • What makes your company truly transformative
