Digital leader award


Open to: All companies operating in the Middle East, Central and South Asia and North Africa. 

The Middle East will be defined by the following countries for the purpose of the award - GCC countries (to include Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates), Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Palestine Territories and Turkey. 

Central and South Asia will be defined by the following countries for the purpose of the award - Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

North Africa will be defined by the following countries for the purpose of the award - Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Mali, Morocco, Sudan, Tunisia, Libya and Mauritania.


About this category:  

This award will commend a leader who has led an IT transformation, digital transformation or business change programme driven by technology in the last 12 months. 

Judges will assess the planning, execution and results of the transformation programme, looking particularly at the technologies and innovation involved, best practice, alignment to business goals, impact on the business, ROI achieved, and how culture shifts were managed.

Judges will look for a leader who has demonstrated the highest degree of tech excellence, innovation and leadership in the last year, and shone a light on the great things technology can achieve. 

Candidates should have not only have demonstrated outstanding business- and/or technology-focused achievements, but also acted as a positive role model and actively sought to bring more diversity to the technology industry. 




Entrants will be judged on their answers to the following questions: (Answers to each question will be cut off after 250 words) 

  1. Name of the individual that you are nominating and the organisation that they work for
  2. How has this leader embraced the arrival of technology innovation?
  3. Describe in less than 250 words, how this candidate planned and executed the digital strategy
  4. How has this individual inspired, trained and educated others on the new technology being integrated into the company?
  5. How have the new technologies the candidate has introduced impacted the business and overall ROI?
  6. Describe why this individual is an exceptional digital leader and leads by best practice
  7. Provide examples of individual excellence that has sparked a cultural change in the business and driven alignment to business goals
