Note: Projects submitted for assessment in this award category will be judged according to their business value.
The winner of this award will demonstrate the successful implementation of RFID technology in business operations to deliver business value and return on investment through cost savings, operational efficiency gains, improved production and supply chain management, and better customer service.
Judges will be looking for:
Project objectives and whether those objectives were relevant to specified business issues and challenges.
Adoption of open or global RFID technology standards.
Delivery of business values, including cost reduction, improved customer services, increased productivity, and process optimization.
Degree of success in meeting objectives or solving specified business issues.
Optimal application of RFID technologies.
Project scalability and extensibility.
The nominees are:
Dongfang Electronics/ Changyu Wines: Wine Warehouse and logistics management, security and authentication of wine management and prevention of shipping fraud
Kim Hiap Lee: RFID enabled ECR (efficient consumer response) wooden pallet to identify individual pallet, streamline track and track process and proof of delivery
Laundry Network: RFID enabled garment tracking system to improve labour productivity and manpower requirement
PetroRabigh: Error free and timely shipment of goods to destination and visibility of material location in warehouse
Prince Court Medical Centre: Enhance existing security measures to prevent infant abduction through RFID tagging
