Dr. Enrique Chacon-Cruz. Mexican-born medical doctor with a degree from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, Mexico, and further specializations in Pediatrics and Infectious Diseases from the National Institute of Pediatrics in Mexico City, and the Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. He also holds a Master’s degree in Vaccinology and Drug Development from the University of Siena, Italy.
He is an Overseas Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine of the United Kingdom and a Member of the Immunization Committee in Immunization of the European Society of Medicine, and the Mexican Committee for the Elimination of Measles, Rubella, and Congenital Rubella, among others.
With over 150 research items published and/or presented at international meetings and more than 500 international lectures, all focused on vaccines, vaccination, clinical trials, and vaccine-preventable diseases. 
Currently, he is the Chief Editor of Vaccines Beat, a globally distributed online vaccines newsletter, and CEO and Founder of "Think Vaccines" (Research, Education, and Consultancy for Vaccines and Vaccinology) based in Houston, Texas. In December 2025 he was also appointed as President of the Immunization Committee of the Mexican Association of Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
